Bauta Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-14 · Status: pre-launch

These Terms govern your use of Bauta (bauta.app), a remote MCP connector that lets AI agents and their users deploy HTML/React artifacts to hosted, share-gated URLs. By connecting to Bauta or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Operator. Bauta is operated by Laien AS (org.nr. NO 916 557 221 MVA), Buen 25, 1528 Moss, Norway ("Bauta", "we", "us"). General contact: hi@bauta.app; abuse reports: abuse@bauta.app.

The service

Bauta hosts and serves the artifacts you deploy through a connected AI client. Every deploy is owned by the authenticated deployer and is unlisted by default — reachable only via the secret access-token link it returns — until you choose a different sharing mode. Artifact code runs inside a sandboxed iframe served from a separate domain, isolated from your account and from other artifacts. You keep ownership of the content you deploy; you grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and serve that content to the people you share it with, and to scan it for abuse.

Accounts and eligibility

Connecting to Bauta creates your account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access credentials and share links secure. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher) and legally able to enter into these Terms; where you act for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bauta to deploy, host, share, or transmit content that:

Abuse, takedown, and suspension. Every served artifact page carries a report-this-content link, and you can email abuse@bauta.app. We review reports by hand. We may remove content, disable links, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law — content found in violation stops serving on every URL, usually within minutes. We may also act to comply with a valid legal request. Where practical we aim to give notice, but we may act immediately when content is harmful or illegal.

Plans and billing

Bauta offers a free tier and paid plans. The free tier is for the uses described on the pricing page; paid plans add features such as a branded subdomain, custom slugs, longer history, and team controls. Paid billing is not live yet (pre-launch). When billing launches, the prices, billing terms, and any limits in effect at that time will apply, and we will make them available before you are charged. Export of your artifacts is available on every plan.

Changes to plans and pricing. We may introduce, change, or discontinue plans, pricing, and the subscription model. For material changes affecting paying account holders — for example a price increase or the removal of a plan you pay for — we will give at least 30 days' notice, posted at this URL and sent by email to the affected account holders. We may also discontinue the free tier, or any individual plan, with reasonable prior notice.

Free accounts. The free tier is offered as-is and may change. We may suspend, limit, take down, or delete free accounts and the content in them — for example to manage capacity, address abuse, or wind down the free tier — and will give notice where practical. In addition, a free account (and its artifacts) that has been inactive for 12 months may be deleted after we send notice to the account email. Ephemeral deploys (an opt-in setting) auto-expire on their own shorter schedule, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your content and responsibility

You are solely responsible for the artifacts you deploy and for having the rights to deploy and share them. You are responsible for what your artifacts do in a viewer's browser, including any data they collect or any third-party services they call. Do not deploy content you are not permitted to host or distribute.

Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Service availability and changes

Bauta is pre-launch and provided on an evolving basis. We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features, plans, or the service as a whole, and we may update these Terms; material changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date, and where they affect account holders we will announce them by email (and, for material changes affecting paying account holders, with the 30 days' notice described under Plans and billing). Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content will be preserved or always available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bauta and Laien AS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Bauta and Laien AS from any third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of the content you deploy, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Bauta and delete your artifacts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or applicable law, as described under Acceptable use. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive.

General

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Norway have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
